Reija Helenius
Finland, Director
Reija Helenius works as a Group Leader at Statistics Finland with web-based services communications and networking as her area of responsibility. One of her duties is the promotion of statistical literacy. She collaborates with a wide network of different agents such as educational institutions. Since 2010, Reija Helenius has been the director of the ISLP. She is an ISI elected member, a member of IASE and IAOS, and a member of the ISI Council during 2021-2025. Reija Helenius has also been a member of Eurostat’s Digicom project, coordinating Finland’s national Statistics Olympics. She is also an active member of the Finnish Statistical Society and has been the chairperson of Tietojohtaminen ry (The Finnish Society for Knowledge Management). She holds a Master’s in Social Sciences, a PD diploma in Statistics and is formally trained in quality control management and product development.

Pedro Campos
Portugal, Deputy Director
Pedro Campos comes from Portugal where he is working as an Assistant Professor at the University of Porto teaching statistics and information systems. He is also working in the Department of Methodology and Information Systems in Statistics Portugal. He is a member of the Research Unit LIAAD-INESC (Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Decision Support). Pedro was one of the pioneers in organising an ISLP statistical literacy competition for the first time in Portugal in 2006.

Adriana D’Amelio
Argentina, Deputy Director
Adriana D'Amelio is from Mendoza, Argentina. She holds a Magister in Pedagogy of the Sciences, specialized in University lectures, Head Professor at "Universidad Nacional de Cuyo" (1984-2020), in Argentina. She has been a member of the Evaluation of Educational Quality team in the Province of Mendoza (2017-2020), and Coordinator of the first web page on statistical literacy of Argentina (2009). With more than twenty-five years of teaching experience, she has participated in numerous research projects in Mathematics Education and Statistics. She is also a member of the Argentine Society of Statistics and the IASE. At present, it is her desire to promote Statistical Literacy in Latin America.

Irena Ograjenšek
Slovenia, Deputy Director
Irena Ograjenšek comes from Slovenia where she works at the University of Ljubljana. She is Professor of Statistics at the School of Economics and Business and Senior Researcher in the Data Science Laboratory at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science.
Her research work at the level of organization is dedicated to measurement of customer and employee loyalty, customer and employee satisfaction, employer attitudes towards older workers, service quality, as well as motivational and ecological capital. At the level of industry/economy as a whole and region/country/group of countries she applies qualitative and survey methodology when researching issues related to competitiveness, economic growth, urban regeneration, and quality of life. In the area of statistical education, her research is dedicated to challenges of megaclasses, effectiveness of IT-supported teaching and learning, curriculum development for statistics and research methodology as service courses in business and economics, as well as course stakeholder satisfaction measurement.
With the tremendous support of the Statistical Society of Slovenia and the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia, Irena launched the first Slovenian national poster competition in 2025.

Saleha Naghmi Habibullah
Pakistan, Deputy Director
Dr. Saleha Naghmi Habibullah is Professor of Statistics at Kinnaird College For Women, Lahore. During the very first decade of her professional career, she initiated a number of projects and programs for the enhancement of statistical education in Pakistan, and this endeavor continues to this day. Her initiatives in the 1980’s and 1990’s include the Kinnaird Annual Statistical Exhibition (KASE), the Kinnaird Intercollegiate Statistical Competition (KISC), Kinnaird’s Visiting Statistical Exhibition (KVSE), the Statistics Teachers’ Educational Program (STEP), the Kinnaird College Statistics FESTIVAL (Forum for the Enlightenment of Students, Teachers, Innovators, Veterans, Amateurs and Learners) and the Data Analysis Talent Award (DATA) which attracted entries from different countries of the world. Saleha was also selected Educational Ambassador for Pakistan by the American Statistical Association in February 2018, rendered services as Vice President of the IASE during 2018-19, and was Chair and Chief Organizer of the first-ever International Day of Statistical Literacy (IDSL) held on May 21, 2024. She is rendering voluntary services as Honorary Executive Director, Pak Institute of Statistical Training And Research (PISTAR), and as a member of the ISI's Advisory Board on Ethics (ABE).
