ISLP Poster Competition 2016-2017

The winners of the ISLP Poster Competition 2016-2017 have been announced on July 21, at the 61st World Statistics Conference in Marrakech, Morocco. The competition was open to teams of 2−3 students in two age divisions: students born in 2000 and younger, and students born in 1997 and younger. The theme of the posters was their own country’s history.

In each country, a country coordinator for ISLP worked very hard to encourage schools and teachers to participate, provided resources and guidelines, and arranged a judging panel and the judging process. The posters were first judged within their countries. After that, the national winning posters were evaluated by an international jury consisting of members from five continents:

  • Chair: Jennifer Kaplan (North America),
  • Daniel Frischemeier (Europe)
  • Le Thi Thanh Loan (Asia)
  • Bronwen Whiting (Oceania)
  • Adriana D’Amelio (South America)
