The goal of the Statistical Education of Teachers II (SET II) report is to support the development of school level teachers’ knowledge in statistics and data content across all levels. In this talk, we will present the SET II report and the three pillars of teacher education in statistics and data. We identify big ideas that cut across grade bands and subjects, we articulate statistical learning objectives for teachers of all levels, and we provide examples that exemplify high-level teacher preparation.
