This webinar introduces the DataSETUP conceptual framework and digital platform, which support the integration of data science into STEAM education and teacher education. Particular attention is given to two educational modules that incorporate AI tools into data science activities. Through these examples, we examine not only the role of AI tools in supporting data exploration, modelling, and interpretation, but also how they shape new forms of inquiry. The modules explore how AI tools make data science processes visible while fostering critical inquiry into image data, data cleaning, bias, model outcomes, and responsibility. We conclude by discussing how AI-mediated data science activities can open up new forms of inquiry and support responsible and ethical participation in a data-fied world, an increasingly important goal for contemporary education.
